I booked a double room for myself and a friend at £80 whilst we were visiting the area for a wedding.
Upon arrival, I found a room that looked nothing like the pictures in Expedia. There was a three quarter bed against a wall with very little room to walk around the bed.
I asked if there was a chance to move rooms, after some confusion around the size of beds with staff, I was informed that; 1) the bed was three quarter and not a standard double, 2) unable to move due to all being fully booked (which I fully understand, it’s wedding season in a wedding packed area of the north west)
I ended up staying with friends at their cottage and left my friend to stay in the hotel room by herself. So I can’t comment on the comfort of the overnight stay or the breakfast.
If you chose to stay at this hotel, make sure you ask which room you are being booked into as I believe the rest of the rooms are very comfortably sized.
For the hotel, I would recommend that you charge a different fee for this room and set expectations for guests to avoid disappointment in the future.
