"We stayed at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington during a recent trip to London and found the experience to be average at best. The most frustrating issue was the complete lack of hand soap in our room upon check-in. We called housekeeping and were eventually brought a single tiny bar of soap that was broken into tinier pieces. After requesting a proper replacement a second time, no additional soap was ever delivered for the remainder of our stay. Attention to basic housekeeping details seemed to be lacking throughout. The toilet paper roll on the dispenser was already half-used when we arrived, and the spare roll left on the counter was also only half full. While the windows did an excellent job blocking outside noise, the walls between rooms were extremely thin. We could clearly hear conversations from the neighboring room late into the night, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Room service was another disappointment. When placing an online order, we specifically requested extra napkins and ketchup. Room service even called to confirm the order and repeated our request back to us. Despite this, neither the extra napkins nor the ketchup were included when the food arrived. The hotel's location in Kensington is convenient, and the windows provide good insulation from street noise, but the lack of attention to simple guest needs and repeated service failures left us underwhelmed. Overall, this was a mediocre stay that did not meet expectations."

"I’ve stayed at better Radisson hotels. Average welcome, the restaurant was an t2 depressing and the menu uninspiring. The worst thing was my room, which was on the ground floor near the car park and overlooking an unkempt alleyway and brick wall. I really found it rather dungeon-like, though I knew once I closed the curtains it would be better. Since it was June, I really didn’t want to shut out the light prematurely, but at least it did improve the ambience. I did have a comfortable night’s sleep. I would choose somewhere else for o stay another time."

"Let’s start with the good things. The location of the property is amazing, it’s a very safe neighborhood and close to the underground station making it easy to go anywhere. Breakfast is included but there’s not a lot of options and you have 2 hours to have it, so if you are planning to wake up late this place is definitely not for you. But the staff from breakfast is very helpful and friendly, I would say they are the highlight of the property. Unfortunately my experience with the cleanliness was very poor. My room had so much dust that it was hard to breathe. So if you have any allergies like me, I would not recommend this place to you. I understand that it’s an old city, buildings are old, but this is not an excuse for the inside rooms being like that. I really needed to share this experience because I regretted so badly choosing this place that I was looking new hotels to stay in the area."
