We decided to treat our family with a 2 night stay at this hotel. Upon arrival we were treated with kindness from the porter in the car park...everything after was not worthy of a 5 star experience. The staff failed to share with us a map of the city and events happening within the city walls. We found out about a free tour the hotel offers (which was fab) on accident. We asked for help finding vegetarian options to eat our second night and the staff was less than thrilled To help and when I asked if they could make a reservation it was clear she was unhappy and I just walked to the resteraunt myself to speak with them. The air conditioner in the room was not working properly. Overall (besides the Porters) the staff could not be bothered...we called for towels...no towels...we ordered drinks outside...the waiter forgot...again I feel as though we paid for service we clearly did not receive and to be honest part of me wondered if it was because of our nationality....we have been living in France for two years so it's not that I need to adjust my expectations either.
This experience was unexceptionable for a 5 star establishment.
