Pros: The hotel has a really nice feel to it the building is old but well maintained and looked after, breakfast is really good.
Cons: It would be very helpful if breakfast could start at 06.30 during the week
The hotel is in a good location, the staff are really helpful and friendly.

Friend's wedding

Posted 16-Sep-2017
Location: As we were travelling it was great shopping at local Brentwood town.
What a treat! Staying at historic hotel loved it. Celebrating friends wedding with great style. Particularly enjoyed our Ale and Steak pie in the lounge bar on Sunday

Charming

Charming inn with a lovely exterior and interior. Has a beautiful garden area in the courtyard - would e a great place for a wedding. Our room was big with a nice sized bathroom. So quaint! loved it and will be back - especially to stay in one of the rooms in the main house

Lovely hotel with garden views

Posted 29-Aug-2017
A lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was exceptional with all the usual facilities you'd come to excpect of a four star hotel. The bathroom, although it was lovely was let down by loose fixtures. Because of where our room was situated it lacked light coming through the window so lights had to be switched during daylight hours. But all this was a small price to pay for what is an overall lovely hotel and we would definitely stay again.

Lovely all round

Large well equipped rooms and friendly staff. Rooms are arranged in a quadrangle around a beautiful garden. We ate in the Tudor dining room mid week. The set meal was excellent and reasonably priced....and the dining room is actually Tudor. Very special
