"I was advised by staff at the Cottonwood Boutique Hotel that their sister hotel, the Ocean View Hotel was closed due to maintenance. So I can not give you feedback for that stay. However, I was given a room at the Cottonwood Boutique Hotel instead. Normally when I stay at the Cottonwood Hotel it is for a break and I always book the ocean view room. "We booked the hotel for a short break for our 10th wedding anniversary. The room exceeded our expectations and it looked much better then the pictures online. The restaurant was excellent, so was the outdoor swimming pool. The only thing that wasn't great was a corporate party taking place underneath our room which we were not told about at the point of booking. When I called reception I was told the party would finish at 23.00 which it didn't. When we called again we were told it would finish at midnight and it did. When you pay for a premium stay you expect a premium stay and unfortunately it did not deliver across the board. It is a shame as the facilities and staff were excellent."

"I will return to this hotel as it’s on the beach, the staff are friendly and my room was very clean and comfortable and I had a lovely sea view. I wish there were more healthier options for lunch and dinner, I should next time order poached eggs for breakfast, but I was a bit shy doing that. I should say that I tried to go to The Haven one lunchtime, to have lunch, as my grandfather stayed there a lot in the 60’s and despite the receptionist saying it was open, it was totally deserted, and the nearby bar staff were completely dismissed of me."
