"Interesting property not your typical every day hotel. There is no elevator so it made it a little more difficult. Beautiful bar and restaurant."

"Unfortunately this beautiful hotel is going into disrepair and needs renovations. Breakfast was average. Above all, they need to pay for cleaning as almost every corridor needs cleaning. Room was small but sadly not clean! I rather not to look at the radiator as it was full of cog-webs, spots, .. I love the location and the communal areas and live music. I always come back only for the good atmosphere."

"Hotel was amazing perfect for our needs annd the staff were so lovely. only thing I would add for parents with children booking this hotel or ladies hen party’s that it’s very apparent that 3 hotels very close to this one are housing asylum seekers. Large Groups of men stood outside the hotels drinking alcohol in the day made me a bit un easy to be honest and I wouldn’t feel safe walking alone or in a small group of women in the evening to get back to the hotel. There was also two police cars parked at the end of the road early evening that made me look into things to find out that locals have been protesting over the hotels being used for this and how they are worried people won’t visit the sea side resort . It’s definitely had a different feel than when I visited before not to say all asylum seekers are out to cause harm as most are here for good reason! However when men are stood in large groups drinking and smoking with no women or kids in sight English men or not u need to have your witts about you please don’t be walking home alone drunk or allow your friends to get in taxis back to hotels alone . "

"Pleasant short stay at Hampton by Hilton. Ideal location near beaches and town centre. Room was good size, modern facilities and breakfast is a generous serving. I’ll be going back to stay in August."

"Not a good stay. Arrived and waited to check in with some other customers at the reception, while 3 members of staff chatted bwtween them ignoring us for nearly 5mins. The eventually started to greet the guests. We stayed in a family room on thw first floor. Hotel is very tired and run down. Had rotting drain smell in areas. First room had hair and dirt on the floor of bathroom and towels with blood stains. Reported this to staff who reluctantly gave us new towels. Then found no shower gel in bathroom and dirty carpet in bedroom. Complained again after first night. Got offered a new room for seccond nite. Told to go havw breakfast and come back later to get new key and move room. Used pool and leisure changing rooms. Which were filthy. Got to hotel only to be spoken to with raised voice about failing to change room first thing this morning as we had gone out as they advised. After an arguement got new room. In new room there was no bin, no shower gel, musty smell, dirty carpet. Reported to reception who wrote it in housekeeping book. No action taken to resolve. Complained in morning as needed to shower. Waited 45 mins for someone to get shower gel. Will never stop here again!"

"Windows in bedroom nailed shut which was a bit of an issue suffering from claustrophobia.. Room clean comfortable. Staff nice "

"We stayed here last year and had a very pleasant stay , so booked again. The staff were very nice and the room , although a little basic was comfortable , even though the Tv would'nt work properly. We had a meal there again as last time it was very good , with a full menu , good service and reasonable prices. However this time we were dissappointed as we booked an early table at 6.15 and were then told they had run out of Steak already . My husband ordered the burger but the chips weren't good and not very hot and the burger & bun very dry . The couple next to us had the same complaint. Over all the stay was value for money but the food not as good as last year unfortunatley."
