8/10 Good

"We'll positioned for railway station and RailAir services to Heathrow."

Macdonald Windsor Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"It’s a lovely relaxed hotel right on the doorstep of the castle. The staff were excellent - a special mention for the Concierge, Alberto, who was friendly, polite and efficient. (He also dealt very well with some noisy customers at the bar and de-escalated what was becoming quite noisy and potentially troublesome - thank you!). There were even some complimentary chocolates appeared for my wife’s birthday!) The restaurant was pleasant and the food excellent. The room (405) was a comfortable double and, although it was a bit on the small side, it had a great view of the Castle tower! All in all a very pleasant stay, with such easy access to central Windsor. As others have said, the car park is expensive at £40 a night, but tbh it was worth it for the convenience. I’m sure we’ll be back!"

Easthampstead Park

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed in the annex building above the gym while working nearby. The receptionist was very friendly and talkative and rhe room only a short walk from the main hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, with nice views over the woodland. The bathroom skylights were a nice touch, especially with the heavy rain. Breakfast was rather nice, with a good selection of buffet style food of a good quality."

De Vere Wokefield Estate

8/10 Good

"As a family of three I booked a room that would be suitable for me and my two sons (19 and 14). We were placed in Wellington Lodge which is about a 10 - 15 min walk from the main building. This wasn't a massive problem for us but it was raining on our first night and something to be aware of if you are booking a room, maybe call and check first if it is a problem for you as the buildings are quite spread out. The Mansion house looks impressive and it is, although there wasn't really much happening in there except for breakfast and an empty bar. Seemed a bit of a shame really as the building is amazing. The breakfast was pretty good but I couldn't help thinking that its a shame that the breakfast room isn't open as a cafe during the day serving panini's and snacks, seemed a bit of a wasted opportunity really. Wokefield place is the main place to be, you can get a drink at the bar, watch sports and play pool but it serves the same menu as The View restaurant which was a little disappointing and expensive. The pool and gym are OK. The driving range was good. There was no information in our room, menus, eating times etc. Overall we had a nice break."
