We have stayed at the Shendish a couple of times before since we regularly stay in this locality in order to visit relatives. We have always enjoyed the accommodation and the food has always been of excellent quality but we have had cause to complain in the past due to the service being rather too efficient and we would have preferred a slightly more relaxed approach in the dining room. Stayed with my 5yo son for two nights, we got the train into London one day and drove to the Warner brothers studio the next. I had the car with me so the location was ideal, not busy and right off the M1. The hotel was clean, the staff were lovely, the room service food wasn’t amazing but the breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choice and time to get there. We swam twice in the pool which my son loved. Would stay again if we were to return to the Warner bros studio.

Excellent stay, helpful, friendly staff

Quiet room before traveling the next day was a must and the Renaissance didn’t let us down. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and tidy.

Had a one night stay the hotel was clean and tidy the staff very helpful, had a meal in restaurant which was lovely but I would have liked a couple more options.breakfasts was very good parking although only a couple of minutes walk was easy enough only problem I had it would not recognise my reg no so had to put in manually on leaving

We come here quite regularly. Staff are getting to know us. The staff are frienly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The meals are really good. Location is brilliant. Cant fault the hotel

Excellent hotel. Ideally situated in the city centre. Plenty of pubs, restaurants, shops and places of interest within easy reach. Wonderful staff. Nice relaxing bar and a lovely buffet style breakfast in the morning, complete with a waffle maker! Would definately recommend!!

Amazing such a lovely time. Mentioned it was a birthday, completely forgot I did and was welcomed to a wine to celebrate. Staff so lovely and kind. Place looked amazing and also free first drink at bar. Also went for food upstairs and was absolutely lovely.
