One of the prettiest views anywhere in England from the balcony overlooking the estuary. Rooms are well decorated, spacious and have free gin. What’s not to like?

The room was very comfortable, the staff were excellent. We loved the ambience and the food
There was nothing we disliked except the proximity of the village church which insisted on striking every quarter hour day and night. It was an unusually warm night in October so we had the window open so I would advise using earplugs if the window is open.

Have just enjoyed a 3 night stay with a friend. Beautiful hotel in unique location in quiet South Sands beachy cove. Lots of ways to get to Salcombe town centre either walking (a bit hilly), hotel shuttle car or water ferry. Rooms have stunning decor and bathrooms are very well appointed. Service throughout the hotel is excellent and very friendly. Enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Good value & again great service throughout but with particular mention of lovely service...

Lovely small boutique hotel near the quayside with friendly staff and nicely decorated.
Very busy with a coffee shop and restaurant on lower ground. Being one of the oldest buildings in the town it has low ceilings, steep stair cases, beams and wonky floors!
The bedrooms are spotlessly clean and our bed and pillows were very comfortable. Free WiFi, bottled water, tv, tea & coffee, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and USB plug points besides the bed are included.

We chose this hotel as it was in the centre of lovely golf course far away from the hustle and bustle of a noisy seaside town.It was ideally situated enabling us to visit Datmouth,Torquay,Paington and many other places of interest.
It was then nice to return to the hotel to use the leisure facilities and then enjoy a nice evening meal.

We had a great stay. We were warmly welcomed and our room with bathroom was a good size and really clean. The bed was perfect. Breakfast was fantastic and we were really well looked after. Location is great for the sea front, bars, shops and bus and train station. Highly recommended.

The rooms were beautifully clean, comfortable and cosy. The staff were so so friendly, it was my first solo trip and they made me feel so comfortable and safe. From the welcome team, the cleaning staff and the restaurant staff I only ever felt looked after and cared for. I will definitely be staying again in the future.

What an amazing find. I have been going to Brixham since I was 6 years old (now 40) and had never stayed here, but so happy I did.
Super friendly staff and the breakfast was amazing.
Keep it up guys! I would definitely recommend and stay again without hesitation.

The whole hotel is only around a year old and everything still seems like it's brand new. The breakfast was superb, the room was really nice and there's excellent on site parking in the two level underground carpark too.
Will definitely be going back - Thanks.

During these periods, you'll find lower prices on accommodation and fewer crowds, making it easier to enjoy the tranquil coastal atmosphere without the peak season premium.
For solo travellers, visiting during these off-peak months means you can often snag better deals on cosy guesthouses or self-catering cottages, which might be out of budget during the busy summer. You'll also find the local pubs and cafes to be less crowded, allowing for a more relaxed experience. The crisp air is great for long walks along the shingle beach or exploring the South West Coast Path, both of which are free activities.
