An impressive looking building in an ideal location, situated not far from the waterfront with friendly staff to greet us. However, that's where the advantages ended. We were given the key to a very tired looking room, with loose and ripped wallpaper, the whole room required some much needed tlc. The mattress was uncomfortable and the shower screen in the bathroom needed maintenance. We had no hot water for the length our stay and by the following morning we had no water from the hot tap at all, which was also loose. As we were checking out there was clearly a plumbing issue as buckets and towels were placed in several places on the ground floor. The staff were clearly busy and unavailable for me to comment about our experience at The Grovsener, had we been staying for more than one night I would of insisted of being moved to another room. We are regular visitors to Plymouth and will probably not be making another booking here.

"Room was ok arms of chairs worn away, bed was hard but fairly comfortable the furniture what the TV was sitting on was broken inside apart from that was acceptable as I stayed one night that was enough evening meal was good and breakfast was excellent surprisingly lots of choice so in all QA bit ..."
