The Space:
This is what Bath is all about – a classic Georgian apartment with high ceilings and period features situated in Camden Crescent, one of Bath's most iconic locations (as featured in Jane Austen's novel, Persuasion). The apartment is an ideal base for exploring the city from, and offers a really comfortable stay for couples of families wanting to experience a slice of true Bathonian living.
LIVING ROOM
There’s a spacious living room with a large dining table and two sofas – and fantastic views across Bath! You can enjoy a good wifi connection that's fast enough to stream movies via a new smart TV (Netflix, Amazon, Spotify etc.) with a connected Apple TV – ideal for nights in or if you need to work from home.
KITCHEN
The apartment has a well-appointed kitchen with gas hob, oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, dishwasher and washer/dryer – everything you need for cooking in.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOM
The apartment has two double bedrooms, one of which has access onto a private courtyard. Both bedrooms have comfy beds, crisp white bedding and towels for your stay. There’s also a brand new luxury wetroom.
PARKING
Unusually for a central Bath apartment we also have private garage parking accessed to the rear via Camden Row. Depending on how fast you like to walk you can be in the centre of the city in 5–10 minutes.
Guest Access:
You will have access to the entire flat and the use of the private garage for the duration of your stay. Collect the keys from the key-safe on the wall of the garage on Camden Row behind Camden Crescent (Gloss grey garage door). Enter via the Garage or walk around to the front for enter via the communal entrance of 3 Camden Crescent. Our apartment is on the ground floor.
PARKING
A word of caution regarding parking - if you are using the garage you should take a little care. As its on a steep hill a low riding car might ground on one side. I suggest the driver reverses into the garage without passengers. I've been doing it for years with no problems but its worth taking care.
It's also worth considering the size of your vehicle. The garage is too small to accommodate an SUV and longer cars will require the garage door to be left open. If you have a small or mid-sized car like a VW Golf, for example, you'll be fine.
The Neighborhood:
Bath is a fantastic city wherever you stay. All the amenities of a big city in a compact, beautiful package that makes it well deserving of its World Heritage City status. Our apartment is situated on Landsdown hill in the north of the city which means there are attractive views across the City and valley below. Walking down the hill to central Bath takes you through beautiful streets and past boutique shops, restaurants and pubs and bars.
Getting Around:
Number 6 and 7 busses run past the apartment (Every 20 minutes Mon-Saturday. Every hour on Sundays). The bus takes you to/from the centre of the city. The bus station is beside the train station. The bus stop is in the middle of Camden Crescent....turn left when you leave the apartment and walk 100m.
Other Things to Note:
It's Bath. It's all good! If you'd like an authentic pub then try The Star, The Bell, The Raven, The Salamander or The Old Green Tree. There are also loads of great bars and a few clubs too if you feel the need to throw some shapes. For eating out you will be spoilt for choice. Check out TripAdvisor for the latest reviews but I think you'll enjoy the gastro-pub food served at The Marlborough Tavern, Sushi from YenSushi and Indian takeaway from the Moghul on Walcot St.
WiFi download speed is 71.96Mbps
Interaction with Guests:
The apartment is owned by Toby and Rupert. They don't live in Bath so it's unlikely we will met in person unfortunately. The day to day management of the flat is taken care of by our friend, Chris Askew . Should you need any assistance Chris is based locally and can help.
