"I stayed in room 65. The room was clean the staff were really helpful. The breakfast was well presented and really nice. We ate there once in the evening and it was great. The spa was really nice. We both had a massage felt really relax. As anyone would tell you there lots to do in the local area, but also good to just relax. I recomend booking the treatment in advance of your stay as its hard to get hold off the massuer."

"Our room was upgraded on arrival, and the room was perfect, floor to ceiling windows with a perfect view of the lake. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. The spa was lovely, The only downside was the building work going on outside but they seemed to keep disruption to a minimum"

"What a lovely small cosy hotel this is. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean with a excellent view of lake windermere. The grounds were amazing. Not far outside of Bowness.so can easily walk there and to the ferry if you wanted. Food was good and fresh. Breakfast had a made to order menu on hot food. So definitely fresh. With an excellent choice. Will definitely return."

"My husband has mobility issues,all the staff were fantastic especially in the Dining. As soon as they saw him entering the dining room they were there to help us. Would definitely recommend."

Spa facilities good although steam room unavailable for one day - awaiting repair so no one's fault. The staff coped exceptionally well during an unexpected, regional power cut. They were excellent throughout our stay, and very helpful when we accidentally left a coat in the wardrobe. Thank you for making our short break, so relaxing and enjoyable. "
