"We stayed one night at the hotel The restaurant was very nice and we both enjoyed our meals there , both dinner and breakfast. the room we booked was a superior room, we were a little surprised to find 2 bunkers in the room (as well as the king bed) but it was quite spacious in the room so it was ok."

"A nice stay. Staff were really helpful; particularly accommodating food allergies. Pets were welcome in the pub itself as well as the room that had been booked. "We had a wonderful week away at Hawthorne Cottage. A perfect location to walk from and explore the delights of the Lakes. Added bonus of a great pub in the village serving good food too. Perfect little cottage delightfully decorated and perfect for two and our dog given the secure garden. Host was extremely helpful and welcoming."
