"A great place to stay for us as a stop over on the way to France via the tunnel (20 mins drive).Really comfortable beds, very clean, newly renovated, with a small sitting room and two beds with 2 bathrooms. Just what we were looking for and they let dogs stay. We usually stay in a Premier Inn but this was far better value, plus the pub downstairs was excellent. Good choice of beer, great food and perfect hospitality - what more could you ask for?? Fully recommended!"

"Lovely hosts. The cottage was clean, comfortable and very well equipped, don’t worry if you’ve forgotten anything! Has been decorated since photographs were taken so now more country cottage than Scandinavian. Terrace and outside of property very dusty but it is a farm yard and the weather was extremely hot. "A wonderful 4 nights spent at Romden farm, couldnt have been bette. It was great, just to open the back door and walk for miles with the dogs, come back chill out and relax in the hot tub in the evenings. At the big pond we enjoyed feeding the fish and watching the barn owl hunt at dusk. The barn was clean, comfortable and the perfect place to get away from everything. The owners made us feel so welcome we will definitley be back in the future."

"Pros: The room was very clean and had all the bits and bobs you need ( hair dryer, fan, iron, tea making stuff, tv and a fridge). The hotel also provided a travel cot for our baby. The room had a great sea view. The hotel it self is interesting, a bit run down and rough round the edges. There was live entertainment in the “ballroom” every night, which was cringy in an amusing way. The location is excellent. The room price was very reasonable (mid week). It is a budget hotel not a luxury one. Negatives: the front desk is very understaffed, we wanted to extend our stay and had to queue at reception, only to then be told we had to book via a phone attached to the wall. When we used the phone we were quoted £10 more than hotels.com. We then had to queue for another 20mins to get new key cards. There was only 1 receptionist for a hotel with hundreds of rooms. The pool was pleasant enough but you have to pay £4 each every single time you use it (even as a paying guest at the hotel). I think that’s a bit cheeky and I’ve never experienced that in a hotel before. They could at least add a single charge to your room for a pool pass instead. We didn’t have breakfast as I thought it was a little over priced. Over all we enjoyed staying there and will definitely be returning."

"Lovely hotel by the beach. Very friendly staff. We were unexpectedly given a room upgrade which was lovely. The room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. We used the pool and Spa facilities which we really enjoyed. Would definitely recommend the hotel and we would certainly stay again 😊"

"Had a bit of a problem checking in after a mix-up with someone with the same name who had cancelled their booking and our booking ended up being cancelled. However they sorted it all out on the spot and upgraded our room and gave us drink vouchers and we even got a partial refund. "Stayed here to break up the journey driving from France to Manchester and chose it largely based on price so I wasn't expecting much and therefore was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very clean, rooms were a good size, beds really comfy and staff welcoming and professional. Kids loved the fishtanks, a great touch. Breakfast was really busy at 9am but the staff worked hard. Cereal, toast, coffee and a full English were all had. My only criticisms are that the room was a bit dated and the bathroom needs a facelift. The shower was powerful enough but the showerhead was fixed and low (I'm only 6ft) so a bit awkward. The tv is small and far away from the bed but that's just me being picky. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely stay here."
