Lucy is an absolute hoot- very welcoming and full of suggestions of things to see or do. Perfect for dogs too, with a lovely enclosed garden and lots of walks from the location detailed in the information folder. Lots of lovely pubs nearby too including a local just across the way. You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. "Our room itself was clean and quite adequate. Not very quiet though, music carried thru the pipes and arguments in the hallways were very audible. The carpet in some of the hallways needed cleaning. The key cards never worked more than once and had to be replaced about every time we left the room. The layout of the hotel was also strange with a lot of switch backs through corridors to reach the lobby."
