"Most hotels now provide a coffee machine in the room. This hotel does not. No drinking glasses were provided except for small glasses in the bathroom, although a bottle of spring water was provided. The shower was difficult to operate and it was impossible to make the water hot enough. Paint was peeling off one of the walls. The view from the room was delightful."

Pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Communal areas very impressive. Easy pleasant walk along the promenade into the centre of Torquay or by the 12 bus which stops outside the hotel."

"Hotel has a very nice interior but dated in parts. External is solid concrete and outside areas need a bit of updating. They advertise their external pool but looks like it has been out of action for a very long time. Staff were excellent, breakfast was very good."
