By European standards, the rooms of this hotel are quite spacious and modern. The sound proofing is great, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The hotel is out of the city center, but easily reached by tram (#1 and 17#) so take this into account if you'd rather be in the center of the action.

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We Had emailed to say that we would be landing at 8.30am and asked whether we could leave suitcases somewhere safe until check in at 3pm - when we turned up they had our room ready!! Really went out of their way to help us. Slightly outside of city centre but easy to access by bus and only €15 in a taxi. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel was modern, clean and well appointed, and our room was spotless and very comfortable. This hotel is not located in the old city core, but that is an advantage if you want to be able to escape the crowds and noise. The hotel sells 24 and 48 hour bus passes at the reception desk for reasonable costs, which allowed us to take an easy 10 minute bus ride to Central station (located adjacent to the old city) and return to the hotel as many times as we liked (assuming you are in Amsterdam to walk).
a little out of Amsterdam but not a problem with the trams coming roughly every 10mins. First morning shower didn't work and no towel rack anywhere, got the key to use another room, bit disappointed I had to ask to be moved to new room but the senior staff member heard of our issues and gave us free breakfast so all good in the end.
Don't use the restaurant, order snitzel which was burnt and deepfried, not nice however they were very busy with a tour group and little staff. breakfast more than adequate, staff friendly, amenities adequate for what it is which is 3 star hotel.
we had prepaid and then got home to see they had charged us and then credited our visa resulting in credit card charges and difference in exchange reates. However they were very prompt to rectify and refund us for this.
Booked our last minute holiday for 2 with Ramada Apollo and definitely made the right choice. The hotel's location is perfect to hop on the tram in any direction for 5-10 minutes to the major attractions in the centre, but is set in a nice quiet location itself. We got an executive room with a king size bed, which was as stylish and comfortable a room as you could want. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and there is a cocktail bar and a rooftop lounge which is awesome. Definitely the right place to stay in Amsterdam for tourists, will be returning in the future.

Westerpark's brick buildings and green spaces are popular with artists and host many cultural events. Kinkerstraat street in Oud-West features many ethnic cafes and small shops.
