We booked this hotel due to its location to Donington Circuit. The location was perfect, the circuit being about 10 minutes drive away (maximum). The owners were lovely and very friendly, Beverley helped us find somewhere to eat on a Sunday when everywhere else was closed or had finished serving. Although the hotel is on the main road, the small town of Melbourne is quiet and the road isn't busy - even on a bank holiday weekend. Nice hotel! My room (724) was quite big, pretty comfortable - and quiet: I slept very well. The hotel felt (and smelled) very clean - you notice it as soon as you enter the spacious reception area. Encouraging. I had a meal in the bar area on Saturday evening. The food was fine though perhaps not wildly exciting. What impressed me was the charming young bar staff, who worked really hard. For instance, when there was a lull between customers, the young bar man got straight down to re-sanitising...

We were looking for somewhere local to a wedding we were attending and this ticked the boxes. The room was adequate and beds were OK. We had a family room for myself and 14 yer old daughter. A double bed and a double sofa bed both of which were made up on arrival. The room was serviced on each of our 3 night stay towels were replaced regularly. Clean, comfortable and warm room. Friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of free parking. A generous continental breakfast with the option to upgrade to full English. Evening meal was delicious - a truly homemade chicken and leek pie. They also have an authentic Neapolitan-style pizza oven, so I bet the pizzas are good too. It's not often somewhere exceeds your expectations, but that was my experience at the Littleover Lodge.

We couldn’t have had a warmer welcome or to be made feel so valued as a guest. The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. We had all of the amenities we needed and more besides. Breakfast was lovely and were offered top ups of hot drinks. Probably one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in a while!

Had a great overnight stay. Lovely room with view on golf course. Nice to have bath with separate shower. Reception team very kind and helpful as were the staff in Roosters restaurant and the breakfast room. I took advantage of the nearby included gym and pool (12 min drive or the hotel also has a free bookable shuttle). All in all I was very impressed.

We booked the suite. Really lovely room .. nicely furnished .. spacious. Electric shower was a little disappointing . Restaurant food was amazing and vert good selection of spirits at the bar .. would definitely recommend and return
