A short but very pleasant stay at the hotel. As I was visiting relatives I didn't use all the hotel facilities but the room was large, quiet and comfortable, albeit a bit dark. Breakfast was excellent as I expected.

Lovely and friendly staff. Check in /out was smooth. The family room was really large and comfortable. The breakfast options were great and at a great price too. The menu was vast and the food was delicious. Walking distance to explore the area and a great stop off point for many attractions.

Superb luxury hotel .. right on the Loch yet 20 miles or so from Glasgow . Very top end spot yet totally unpretentious . Lots of restaurants and bars , great well appointed room and a common theme of professional staff in all areas of the hotel . Lovely hotel in the heart of Luss village moments from Loch Lomand. The hotel had a lot of character and the menu in the restaurant was far more interesting than most hotels in the highlands. The staff on the desk were helpful. It was well priced for the quality. Breakfast was very nice.

I booked this for a surprise birthday gift, my friend is from Norway and he absolutely loved it. It's like having your own private apartment, the room was spotless and cleaned every day. The staff were friendly, with one lovely ginger boy telling us lots of stories about the hotel and its origins, and one tall waiter finding us a seat looking onto the arena despite those tables all being reserved (sorry that I forgot the actual names!) Booked a short notice overnight stay in one of the upgraded pods. It was very nice with a very nice location. It was really quiet and peaceful. We booked dinner in the restaurant and the staff wee attentive, accomodating and very polite. The food choice wasnt huge but the quality of the food was good. I stayed with two friends to do some walking in the Trossachs and Loch Lomond area. Our primary requirement was for somewhere of a reasonable standard within easy driving distance of where we wanted to walk. In the event, the Abbotsford Hotel delivered all that we wanted and more. The hotel has beautiful scenic views and gorgeous interior. The staff at this hotel could not have been more welcoming, starting with reception, to house keeping, to the staff at the spa/pool and lastly but not least the restaurant staff. I did, however, have one negative experience which was that I passed out in the spa sauna - the high tempature and my low blood pressure were not a good mix. 2 good nights sleep. Good size room. King sixe bed and matress zzzzzz. Both meals and breakfasts were great. The staff are very pleasant and polite. They actually look like they enjoy working there. This could be because it is an NHS run hospital so less stressful on the staff. The views are of the River Clyde. Both days we watched the last ocean going steam paddle ship sail past it is the best sight and sound.
