First stay at Grand Central Hotel and it was lovely. Clean room, excellent shower and warm, comfy bed. Very specious, quiet room. Will definitely be back. Absolutely met all of my expectations.
When I checked in, they upgraded my room from a standard triple room to an executive room free of charge. The room was spacious and comfy and included a free minibar. The room had a great view of the Clyde and Glasgow. I was on the 7th floor and it wasn't very noisy which is always good. I would ...
Was a nice hotel, not great entrance from the back of hotel but nice once your in. Car parking very handy, close to town centre. Breakfast not great, orange juice tasted watered down, eggs a bit watery, bacon cold. Apart from that pleasant stay. Would stay here again.
Familiar, unsurprising, close to the centre of town. This is not a negative review in anyway. This hotel is better than many Marriotts, the staff are excellent, food was wholesome and the service was very good. I highly recommend this place
Always like Mal - & an upgrade to sumptuous suite was a real bonus. Staff were generally pleasant except for one really haughty girl at front desk. Designer hotels shouldn't have arrogant staff.
Great welcome and very large bedroom. Free access to lounge with drinks and snacks plus free mini bar in the room. Some aspects look a bit tired e.g. the electrics. However. I woud still highly recommend and stay here again. It’s so central and close to George Square.
Great location just by M8, 10 min straight walk to Central Station, tourist bus stop right outside. Nice big twin room but bathroom needs renovating. Good breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Gym and pool good but female changing rooms need URGENT UPGRADING - tired and filthy. Overall good value for ...
If you want to plan a trip to Loch Lomond this year, check out the four hotels in the nearby town of Alexandria, a quaint northwestern Scottish community, with all the amenities you’d need for a weekend in the country.
Alexandria is the largest town in the Vale of Leven, an area sandwiched between the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and the River Clyde. Enjoying views from one of the most beautiful parts of the country, Alexandria is ideally located for visitors wanting to get out of the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Try some of the area’s famous tipples at one of the breweries or distilleries that populate the region.
Loch Lomond Brewery is a huge draw for visitors to the area because of its ‘undying love for craft brewing’. A relatively new addition to Alexandria, the brewery opened in 2011 and since then has become a fast-made institution of the town, having picked up two brewing awards in 2013. Try the local brews and pick your favourite.
Find the best luxurious hotels for you to take advantage of all the activities available in the Alexandria area. Browse and book using the Expedia search tool, so you can start planning what you want to do on your getaway.
