"My husband and I enjoyed a 3 night break at The Snugg, Ellingham, near Ringwood. It was a very relaxing place to stay and it had been decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The bed was so comfortable and the linen and towels were of very high quality. There is a little courtyard garden where we sat out and enjoyed watching various birds visiting the feeder. We were left a very nice welcome hamper and the owners even asked us what type of pillows/duvet we would like. Great thought is...

"We had such a lovely time at Acorn cottage, it was absolutely perfect in every way. Communication with Maria throughout super easy and the cottage is stunning, probably one of the most well thought out, well stocked getaways we've stayed at. We did plenty of local walks straight from the cottage and had a few stop offs on the way home in the local pub. We also visited on a pretty wintery weekend so it made the forest and the pub that little bit more festive. We would definitely return."

"The cottage is ideally located, only a short 5-10 minute drive to the coast and is on its own in a private part of the retreat. The enclosed garden is perfect if you have a dog with you and would be a lovely space to enjoy in the spring / summer. The kitchen had everything you could need and the bedrooms are light and airy, although little things like making sure there is salt in the salt grinder would be appreciated. "There don't seem to be that many small properties to rent outside of the main villages and towns so if you want to feel a little more in the forest this is perfect. Heath's, woods and Hatchet Pond are all walkable from your door in a few minutes. The house is cosy with a lovely living room and well appointed to kitchen. The hosts were lovely and even left us some wine and chocolates. Recommended."
