"It was a new experience but one we enjoyed "

"We had a really nice 2 night stay, we checked in earlier as our room was ready, which was a lovely start. The hotel was beautiful, the service was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, the shower hot and powerful. We enjoyed some nice food in the atrium bar, a lovely afternoon tea in the 1853 restaurant. And some nice 6 oclock gin on the terrace - all with fantastic service. The only negative was the room was so hot it was uncomfortable, a fan was provided and was really needed. There was also a huge generator outside, and the loading bay was noisy. (room 6 - junior suite) "

"Beautiful little boutique hotel! Renovations are still ongoing but has no impact on the stay. Alex, the greeter, was full of valuable information including history and restaurant recs. Would absolutely stay here again!"

"All the staff were helpful and friendly . An asset to the hotel . Went out of their way to help . Extremely comfy bed and lovely bedding . Food was good standard . Drinks were quite expensive but didn’t spoil our experience. The spa looked good too . "
