What a suprise , I don’t think the this hotel was advertised well enough, a beautiful property in large well maintained grounds, friendly , polite staff, good breakfast and so clean, nowhere was overlooked, I will recommend and definitely come again.

Such a lovley place to stay had a great time with great people

Friendly, clean and beautifully situated hotel. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Excellent food, but beware the huge portions! Highly recommended.

Lovely food and great hosts.

Nice property. Quiet with a comfortable bed. It’s at West Cliff, about 20 minutes walk from the station. It’s technically near the beach but the cliff lift is out of action so it’s a walk to get there. The quietness is the problem as the area feels residential. To get into Whitby is a fair walk down. There is a cost cutters with cash point at the roundabout, a cash only Chinese on the cliff top road and a bar (which was rude when I went in). There are ice cream vans about but you have to walk...

Friendly and helpful staff 👍 excellent facilities and excellent clean modern room with large TV

Great for parking. Breakfast fantastic+. Clean room and all staff very welcoming. Couldn't fault anything.

Cameron was so thoughtful and friendly. It had everything you could want and more and the breakfast was perfect. We were only there 1 night but felt a wonderful break and would love to stay again

A very friendly and welcoming pub.We had a comfortable en suite room and enjoyed an excellent evening meal and a traditional full English breakfast. The staff were very friendly and professional ensuring that our brief stay was a pleasant one.The hotel was located on a quaint cobbled street leading down to the harbour.Highly recommended.

We booked last minute and weren't disappointed.......a lovely place and everything we needed for a relaxing night away.the character and charm of the room and setting made it a bit more special .look forward to a return visit

We stayed here as it was walking distance from the venue for a wedding we were attending. We booked it three nights before so only the bunk bed room was available, but it was fine for us as we were out all day long and then had to be back early the next morning! Lorraine was extremely helpful - we asked if early check in could be facilitated and she did! We were running extremely late after travelling down and Lorraine very very quickly checked us in as I was half-sprinting through the house to...

Really lovely visit - great breakfast

Stayed here several times. The hotel is excellent, the staff are amazing, the food is so gorgeous - just too much of it ! The rooms (and we have several different ones) are warm, inviting and immaculate. All have TVs and tea making facilites with an ample choice of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, all are en-suite and the bathrooms are spotless along with a good supply of towels and comp toiletries. Plenty of car parking space The only downside to this place is time passes too quickly...

Room was totally fine. Bed was comfy. Given tea and coffee. I brought my own little lamp as the only light is the main one. Toilets and shower are external and pretty run of the mill. Nice selection of beers and ales in the pub. Breakfast was nice
