"Vasja is a fabulous host, who greets visitors with a welcome drink & plenty of regional insight.
The apartments are designed for big groups with multiple beds in multiple rooms. While we only stayed for 2 nights, things are set up nicely for week-long stays.
Breakfasts are delicious and locally sourced. Bovec is reasonably convenient (35-40 min) to ski slopes in Italy. It’s also in the heart of beautiful natural wonders. Driving the mountain roads nearby is exhilarating."

"The Savoia Excelsior Palace Trieste provided an overall excellent experience. The check in was extremelly fast. They stored our luggage for us to have lunch while waiting for our check in time. Staff was extremelly friendly and helpful. They recommended excellent places to visit within walking distance as well as dining that was superb. Great location. We felt safe walking at night. "Thank you for a great stay. The rooms are spotless and beds very comfortable. Staff are lovely and went out of their way to help - thank you! The hotel is very quiet in rooms, we heard no noise between the rooms. Parking is 10 euros but easy and straight outside the hotel. The breakfast was good. Thr slight issue was hot rooms with ineffective air conditioning. We asked for a fan but the hotel did not have one, so we simply brought one and ot solved the issue. Would definitely recommend this hotel."
