"nice hotel for city touring"
hotel was very clean and tidy, staff came in everyday with new bed sheets and towels for the room. its also very close to the metro station which then gives you very easy acess to the whole of the city, a day pass on the metro is €6 per person which gives you unlimited travel for the whole day :) only complaint about the hotel is that we booked a double room, but they just pushed two single beds together which wasnt the comfiest but everything else was great! good breakfast, flat screen telly in the room and great power showers :) would definately recommend!

"Great hotel in a great area"
We found this hotel satisfied all our needs. It was about a 5-10 walk to the metro which then only took 10 min max to get to the centre of Rome, so made going in and out daily very easy. We had one problem on our first day, our shower drain was not working, but within 5 minutes of notifying the staff someone had come to our room and fixed it. The room had all amenities we had hoped for (a/c, wi-fi, Sky TV), the staff we incredibly friendly and it is in such a nice, quiet area that we could easily relax after a long day of exploring in their garden areas. The only slight negative was the breakfast wasn't that amazing, but there was a good selection of pastries, fruit and savoury items. But, when you are getting it for free you can't really complain - especially when they say it goes until 10am but leave it out longer for us stragglers ;) All in all, we would say our trip was only made better by our stay at this wonderful hotel, which I would recommend in a heart beat to anyone.

"Great escape ,away from busy city centre."
Booked 3 nights, arrived very late after 7 hour flight delay .Reception manned 24 hours, fantastic. Great welcome . Taxi from airport.Be warned, the address is via Tolmino, but please note TRIESTE,is the suburb. Taxi driver at airport tried to get all dramatic about so far etc.At this late you can cave in and accept anything.Paid more than i should have , but didn't want to drag bags at 1am through Rome termini and from the new Metro station S Agnese Annibaliano. Room was excellent, slept well. Breakfast ,great selection.Scrambled eggs in warmer ,average , probably because we slept in,hard to keep scrambled eggs warm for three hours. staff very helpful, maps with instructions, bus etc Lovely lounge and relaxed atmosphere .Evening food provided at bar , outstanding. Quality drinks . Beautiful Merlot, books everywhere,A beautiful home.Internet, wifi excellent. Tiberio, young man who looked after us each evening,a delightful young man. Met Salvatore, the owner by chance in lounge area, welcomed us and shared some of the history of this quiet ,lovely hotel. We were spoilt, and recommend this little escape. You need more than three nights to do Rome however, we will be back. We were visitors from New Zealand, Geoff and Debi.

"Nice hotel close to public transportation."
Our experience was fantastic, the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was well prepared. However there was no indication or notice on the small fridge in the room that we have to pay for taken out items placed in the fridge. We had to curved out 50 euro for the usage.

"Nice hotel allowing control of room temperature"
Out of the five hotels I stayed in Italy during the month of October, Hotel Fenix was the only one where I could actually control the temperature of my room. The bus stop is at the corner, one minute away from the hotel. You may board bus #90 (Express) and after about 14 minutes you are at Termini Station (Train and Metro). Very convenient. From Termini you board bus 90 and step down at the sixth stop (Nomentana/Gorizia) and the Hotel is just across the street at the corner. The breakfast was very good. The muffins (blueberry and chocolate) were excellent. At this hotel you may actually eat the bacon, which is cooked. At other hotels the bacon is always half-cooked. My only complaint is that the juices are all acid: grapefruit, orange, and pineapple. For those of us who cannot drink acid juices, there were no other choices. The staff were courteous and friendly. If I return to Rome, I would definitely stay at Hotel Fenix. I believe the rooms are sound proof, because one morning I stepped into the hall and I heard the TV from my neighboring room. Inside my room I heard no noise from my neighbor.

"Extremely worth the money and easily our best stay"
The price of the hotel beats all others in comparison. The metro is close (3 blocks) and extremely easy to get around with local transport. The quiet and extremely modern and clean room make this a must stay if your looking for a decently priced room with great amenities. The only downside is that it is further away. The room and the amenities make up for everything and this is truly a highly recommended hotel. Large and clean room with a good view. They have an exercise gym and two elevators. Free water and a refrigerator is a big plus. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to ROME. Easily the best hotel we stayed in with our 18 day visit of Europe.
