LOVED, LOVED this hotel! New hotel with a great sense of service. Fun, modern, and stylish. Great location if you wish to be a little out of the way of the major conjestion of Amsterdam. Still close to everything, but more relaxed. Attentive staff, good level of service, bike rental available at the hotel.
Perfectly located within a 5 min walk to a great many bar/restaurants/canals and a nice walk to the central station and sights. Facility is very clean, well appointed with excellent service. We had booked a standard room and we were accommodated right away when we asked for an upgrade to a larger superior room as we were going to be staying for a longer period of time. A superior room is the way to go if you like to spread out.
We had a great stay at the Iron Horse. Reception was efficient, there was a complimentary tea and coffee machine we appreciated!! Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. We could walk five minutes to Leidsplein station and shopping .Wished we could've booked our third night there instead of the dodgy place around the corner!! No complaints here! Had a great stay!!
The location of this hotel was great! The staff was awesome! We didn't partake in the breakfast, I can't report about that. The beds were so comfortable! And I loved the fact it had a bathtub! My feet were so achy from all the walking around & it was nice to soak then in a tub!
We stayed for 8 nights and the staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The manager, Youp Bimbergen, runs a great establishment.
From the king sized beds and Nespresso coffeemaker in the rooms and lounge to the lovely rear garden for relaxing, the accommodation is first class.
The fantastic staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. We had several recommendations for local restaurants that were outstanding. While in a residential neighbourhood, it is just a few minutes walk from from the Leidseplein and the commercial heart of Amsterdam
