“perfect short break”

wonderful hotel and staff extremely helpful. The location was perfect as only a short walk to the centre and the attractions. The room was lovely and a very sumptious bed but felt warm at night even with the cool air system on. The mini bar was included in the room rate and if anything was used it was immediately replaced next morning. If I return to Amsterdam I would certainly stay at this hotel

Beautiful hotel,beautiful room with everything you could need, bed very comfortable. Bath lovely with great supply of products and fluffy towels !Easy stroll from Central station. good location,all attractions within walking distance, We walked to Anne Franks house and after getting slightly lost it took about 25 mins.

“Haven on a city break”

Hotel is beautiful architecturally. Location is very central with everywhere in easy walking distance. The pool, sauna and jacuzzi were a great place to chill after busy sightseeing sessions. This made a city break with children relatively relaxing.Beds very comfy. Free mini bar was great though would have preferred to have breakfast included instead. Concierge especially helpful. Loved it!

“If you want class, stay at Amrath!”

This hotel is old, impressive and also absolutely beautiful, and worth every penny that we spent on it. We stayed for 5 nights, and everything was brilliant, nothing was too much to ask of hotel staff and anything requested was dealt with very promptly with a smile. It is literally as it describes, just a few minutes walk from everything. Though we didn't eat there the restaurant and bar looked very inviting, and the menu on offer was good. Room was of a good size with a king bed, warm and very quiet, we didn't hear other guests at all. Though a little more expensive than other hotels, I would give 11 out of 10 If I could, and can't wait to go back there. Excellent!

“Beautiful Hotel”

An absolute gem of a Hotel. The building is amazing and worth looking inside even if you are not staying in it. Hotel staff were very helpful, room was very comfortable with big bathroom, excellent coffee machine (once we worked out to use it) and of course the free mini bar was an absolute bonus, The Spa facilities are great. On this trip we did not use the hotel restaurant. It looked very nice but the menu was a bit limited. Price wise is what you would expect from a hotel of this standard however, with so many places to eat near by you are spoilt for choice and can eat out a lot cheaper. Location is perfect - the short 10 minute train ride from the Airport to Amsterdam Central station is very easy so don't waste money on taxi's. The Amrath is positioned a stroll across from Central Station (so no wheeling suitcases half way across the CIty) and next to one of the canals. Easy walking distance to Dam Square, Red Light district, Leidsestract, Flower Market and Rembrandt Plein. Would recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back.

“A great hotel, central with friendly staff.”

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They all spoke good English (as well as several other languages) and gave advice or just chatted to make us feel welcome and valued guests. The advice from the concierge's on how to go about seeing the attractions in Amsterdam we had chosen was excellent. The food at the hotel was very good. We hit "restaurant week" in Amsterdam and the set menu with paired wines was delicious - a real treat. The hotel was an easy walk from the central Train, bus and tram station. Then an easy walk to all central locations and canal boat stops. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the only challenge was finding our way about in the hotel, there were plenty stairs and lifts, but the design of hotel, a converted shipping line HQ, left one going round and round the floors using a different route each time, but we got there in the end.

We really had a fantastic time here - the hotel is only a 5/10 minute walk from the train station. The room was fantastic with a well stocked free mini bar. The hotel itself is really beautiful - very art deco with lots of history and we would love to go back soon.
