"We have just returned from 1 night stay at Royal station hotel ,. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. On arrival we were checked in smoothly although our room was not ready the girl at reception was very helpful stating we could leave luggage . We were given an upgraded room which was beautiful. We both prefer the old buildings with a little character. Breakfast next morning was lovely, self service , food was hot and tasty. We have stayed here many times when we visit Newcastle and will definitely be returning very soon. "

"We stayed for two nights in a junior suite, the hotel was clean and tidy, staff were all friendly and welcoming. The bar and cocktails were lovely. Unfortunately the dinner menu was not great so we ate out both nights and luckily there are many options for food and drink close by. We did have a problem with breakfast on the second day (food was burnt) we returned the plate and then got the wrong replacement food and still burnt, after raising with the restaurant manager it was refunded so no significant impact on the rest of our stay."

"Nice big room & shower room. Good selection of tea & coffee in room with complimentary water in fridge. TV & sitting area perfect for our stay. Didn't book breakfast but we did enjoy some wine in the bar area of the hotel on our way back from City Hall. Great location. We got parked in the hotel car park no problem. "
