"Excellent hotel in the centre of Blandford Forum. The Crown has attractive period features and our room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The breakfast was excellent. There is ample onsite parking."

"Last minute weekend booking for 2 adults and 3 children (6,6,8). Arrived late to a prepared room, warm welcome and much needed cocktail. Room had a queen size bed in a separate area with sofa bed and single bed in the main area. Each area had a large TV, would of loved for these to be smart tv’s but didn’t affect us too much. Was a warm weekend but a fan was provided. Spacious, clean room. Amenities were great and included iron, wash basket etc + the usual tea, coffee and hot choc ( great selection). Breakfast was amazing and the coffee selection was brill. Bonus of 2 terraces which were beautiful and had a scenic view. Would of loved to of eaten there but unfortunately our schedule was packed! Can’t wait to return to spend some more time at the hotel. Given a travel lodge wasn’t too much cheaper I am blown away at how reasonably priced this was given the huge range of facilities, high quality spacious rooms and scenic location. This hotel also has a hair salon which would be great for those staying for an event (again reasonably priced). This hotel is a must for families who want a little bit of luxury in a child friendly place "

"This is a low-cost hotel and thus one does not expect 5-star amenities. However, it represents great value for money. Easy parking, comfortable bed, spacious room, lots of hot water in the bathroom with an old-fashioned shower head that delivers a lot of water (unlike some of these modern miniature nozzles that just trickle a small amount of water). Breakfast is minimal -- just "continental" cold goods -- bread, croissants, cereal, juice, sliced ham and cheese. The beverage machine provides a good variety of coffee and hot chocolate. The staff are friendly and helpful, but be aware there's nobody there after about 10pm so you need to find your way into the lobby at the rear and pick up a phone to get help checking in. "

"A few of my colleagues have stayed here over a few nights and said how lovely the owner was and he assisted when Expedia didn't send through the booking quick enough but was kind enough to put up in an upgraded room at no extra cost to ourselves - highly recommend and will definitely be using this accommodation again when my trainers are down that way."
