Overall our experience was okay. We were pleased with the location and amenities. Sister hotel to holiday inn so we were able to use their pools as well. The rooms are old but clean and well maintained. Got quite noisy at night in our room, but another couple staying down the hall with us had no noise. Slightly concerned about the security of the hotel room. Panels on window can be opened from outside, and door frames appeared as if rooms have been broken into. Would stay again, price is right. Restaurant next door was great! Highly suggest.
We found this hotel on the internet and liked the location. We realized we had been here before for our boat departure for a snorkeling excursion. It's off the main road so it's relatively quiet, except for the band that played across the canal, but they finished at a reasonable hour. The hotel is older but clean, with reasonable rates. We were surprised to find it had an upstairs and two bathrooms. My husband and I don't like to share if we don't have to. ; )
Ray was very friendly and informative. He was able to give us details about the surrounding area and where we should visit. We have a 5 and 3 year old with us and those locations accommodated them as well.
Check in was stress free staff so polite helpful and professional . Rooms were updated and very clean . Tiki bar and beach were amazing the kids even swam with the manatees which was a surprise during our visit . We even rented kayaks on the property . Great dads day 2015. We can't wait to return it's our place in Key Largo 👍🏻
We loved the atmosphere of the Pelican Key Largo Cottages! It felt like we were on a quaint, little island. We liked the cute huts and the brook in the breakfast area. We enjoyed sitting on the chairs on the pier in the evening. The kayaks were fun. The staff was very friendly.
We had a great room overlooking the bay. We called ahead of time asking that we have a room away from the pool and our request was granted. The sunsets were amazing. There were a lot of amenities. I do feel that the hotel rooms could use some updating, but overall, we had a relaxing stay!
The largest of the Florida Keys in the northern archipelego is Key Largo. Two highways connect Key Largo to the mainland. The eastern part of sland is home to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the site of the only living coral barrier reef in the U.S.
