The rooms were smaller than expected. especially if you have big suitcases there isn't much space for storage. we didn't get a room with a view so it felt claustrophobic. the window was just a wall. which I guess was expected. other wise the room service, facility, food, reception service was great. The staff was quite helpful when it comes to helping us plan our excursions "

"Thanh and the hotel staff have been very warm and accommodating throughout my entire stay in Hanoi. The hotel is very convenient and accessible to most areas in the old and french quarters. St. Joseph cathedral is just one corner away from the hotel and it is also very close to Hoan Kiem lake. I would highly recommend this hotel. Best value for your money. "

"The building is not meant for foreigners. It has mold in the bathroom . I saw two rooms and they were the same . It is an old building and the furniture is old. Even the glas on the night stand was broken I had to put a mask on fir the few hours I was there trying to chat with Expedia. I am still feeling like I have dust in my throat and lungs but it could be psychosomatic. Maybe local can sleep there because the have a higher immune system but I would not recommend it for foreigners "

He arranged bike rentals for us (and even fixed things twice when we had bike issues).
