Despite (or because) of the long time it took to get on site from the airport, An Lam proved to be a very pleasant place for a relaxing vacation -- easily one of our best in southeast Asia. The villa we had was very spacious, with many lounging areas, both indoor and outside. It even had two swings in the rooms. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. It was great to have the personal service of an assigned butler. It was also very family friendly. Our kids really got into fishing and the hotel prepared everything for them immediately upon request. They even cooked and served all the fishes our kids caught free of charge.
The "4" rating I'm giving for room cleanness shouldn't be a big deal. Due to the openness of the villa design, it would be quite hard to keep the rooms completely clean all the time. In addition, the rooms generally were comfortable. The only minus was that only one room had air-conditioning and you had to sleep in a mosquitos tent to avoid getting bitten.
"Fantastic hotel, close to beach, restaurants etc"
This hotel was the best we have ever stayed in. Nothing was a problem. The wrong date was booked by us. No problem and no cost to change. Room didn't seem to cool down low enough no problem an upgraded room was offered. We didn't take it loved what we were in and learnt how to use air con and fan properly (silly us!) Staff could not do enough to make our stay more comfortable or enjoyable. Breakfast was awesome. Tunnel under road to beach makes it so easy. It was so good 1 night turned into 4 nights. Didn't want to leave. Swimming pool is lovely yes it's not heated but that makes it a great place to cool down in. It's huge and very clean. We could not fault this hotel and will definitely stay here again when next in the area. Also must mention the bed was the best we have had in Asia.
Great location, stayed in executive suite and kids in ocean twin room. Friendly and clean with great food and advice. Tours were good also. Also, enjoyed the breakfast here with a good selection. Close to shops and other restaurants but if hot grab a taxi. Hotel food is guaranteed safe.

Stayed here with a friend for just under a week in a twin pool view pool. The staff here were great, always smiling and friendly ( the door men in particular!). Breakfast was fantastic- heaps of variety to please everyone. The pool was a decent size though it was sometimes hard to get a pool lounge to lie on as they are limited . Our room was lovely and clean with comfortable beds. The only thing i didnt like about the room was the window between the bathroom and sleeping area which looked through to the shower and toilet.. the blinds on the window were too small and fairly transparent- which is fine when you are a couple but a bit awkward in a twin room when you are two friends.
Location wise this hotel is close to the beach (which has a private hotel area) and within walking distance from the shopping centre and a few cafe and reteraunts. its also close to the market. It is a bit far out from the main tourist area where all the bars and things are but taxi will only cost about $3 US.
I also should note that this hotel appeared to cater mostly for Russian tourists. I only say this because as an Aussie i found the Russian tourists to be quite rude and unfriendly- which was unfortunate if you love a chat like me!
beautiful grounds and villas, clean, staff always helpful and attentive - if they don't understand your request they find another staff member who has better English to make sure they address your concerns. Definite Luxury!
We stayed there with my 6 y.o. daughter and enjoyed it immensely, for the most part. Apparently, this place has gained reputation as an excellent family resort so - quite a few parents and grandparents with young kids, which was excellent for us. Vin Pearl Land is a park to behold and a great place for chlldren above 4-5 y.o., so it adds up. There are areas to improve though:
- Kids Club is outright boring. More organized fun/learning activities would be very welcome, and more group games. Hey, a simple Twister would make it so much better!
- Same goes for organized activities outside. I'd hate to see this hotel turn into another Turkish "all-inclusive" with animation all over but a child game or two a day would not hurt.
- The gym is nearly useless. It has two treadmills, and some machines but only dumbells for free weights and no barbells, no power rack, not even a pullup bar. No stretching area, too. I mean, if you build it anyway, why not make it good?
- Hours of operation: heat builds up after 10:30, but the aquapark only opens at 10. Why not start at 8, so the children can be taken in the rooms when the sun is its worst?
Our whole experience of the time spent at the Intercontinental at Nha Trang was fantastic. The room and facilities were so good we didnt get out to do as many things as planned so we will definitely be coming back.

We didn't want to leave.
The food was fantastic, service was excellent and the resort was very luxurious.
We had a fantastic honeymoon.
If you want to spoil yourself, the this is the place.
It is pricey, but well worth it.
