1. Mexico

During October, Mexico is hot but not too humid, making it ideal for outdoor activities. One unmissable event is the Festival Internacional Cervantino, popularly known as El Cervantino, A celebration dedicated to the work of Spanish novelist Miguel Cervantes, it plays home to open-air concerts and artistic performances, turning the city of Guanajuato into Glastonbury.

2. Turkey

Turkey is one of the warmest places to visit in Europe during October. With approximately 11 hours of sunshine forecast each day, this is the perfect chance to laze by the pool in Bodrum. 5. Lanzarote

To make the most of Lanzarote’s great weather, why not pay a visit to Cueva de los Verdes? This 6km "lava tube" cave was formed around 3,000 years ago when Monte Corona erupted. The result is a magical grotto which, when it’s not facilitating tourists during the day, moonlights as an auditorium.
