Another up-beat Mexican resort trying to cater to everyone. Staff here is excellent as it is in most places in Cozumel. The ownership is central to one family, which makes a difference in their job satisfaction. I think others had mentioned maybe making the Explorean an adults-only resort. I would agree Fiesta Americana would be the great place for kids.

Resort was beautiful on the outside (outdated rooms) , food options were really good, drinks were okay, as for the rooms definitely in need of renovations, not to my liking. This resort has 3 different hotel areas, be sure to know which you are booking for. I initially planned to stay at “The Grand” for all the amenities for children but booked for “Sunrise” which actually turned out better for the entire family as many families from the 5-diamond resort consistently visited ours for better pool areas.
