At last minute I decided to book a hotel nearby Birmingham Airport before an early morning flight out the next day. The hotel is about 1/2 hour away and is set in a quiet beautiful location, so just right for a good night sleep. Upon arrival we were greeted by Alex who was wonderful, so professional and informative about the hotel and surrrounding area, a true ambassador for the hotel. The staff on reception and the bar staff were very helpful and friendly apart from the reception staff on departure on the 26th , we thought she was miserable and abrupt and should not be doing a reception job if she clearly did not want to be there .

A weekend to visit our daughter who is at Birmingham University. The room was a little small but cosy and absolutely fulfilled our needs. We were given a top floor room as requested. We arrived at midday but were able to check in straight away. The car park was busy as there was a conference at the hotel that day but we managed to park ok. We dined in the 1900 Restaurant in the evening - the food was presented well and was delicious. Service was great and the lighting and background music...

Overall the stay was excellent but I have to say there was a small issue that wasn’t great. The breakfast was nice apart from the potatoes which are really dry.

An absolutely lovely stay. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Allanah and she was kind and attentive. She showed us around, before escorting us to our room and answering our questions. Our room was beautifully decorated, warm and cosy. The bathtub was deep and sumptuous, the toiletries provided were fresh and felt lovely and the home baked cookies in the room were a nice (and tasty) touch. We had booked a table at Smoke for dinner, and when the reservation rolled around it was pouring...

Have stayed here on a regular basis and always happy to return , the staff are exceptional , Hamed on reception always professional polite and happy to help , Faz “the legend” is a star in the restaurant and the chefs are amazing , I tried the new menu tonight with a friend and the salmon dish and buttermilk chicken was divine ! Rooms always clean and comfortable , it’s a home from home and nothing is too much trouble

Very quiet and spacious. Sleep was great, with a good selection of pillows.

Really great hotel for the price. Excellent location for bars and Symphony Hall.

Lovely warm and welcoming pub/hotel. Staff very welcoming and friendly.Only slight problem is that it took 45 minutes for breakfast to arrive; good job we weren't in a hurry to go somewhere! Brilliant location right in the centre of Stratford

Great place for a treat, booked inclusive of eveing meal and really enjoyed it all. Room had been upgraded when we arrived as an added bonus. Nice bathroom - underfloor heating, walk in shower. Great views from the room.
