A weekend to visit our daughter who is at Birmingham University. The room was a little small but cosy and absolutely fulfilled our needs. We were given a top floor room as requested. We arrived at midday but were able to check in straight away. The car park was busy as there was a conference at the hotel that day but we managed to park ok. We dined in the 1900 Restaurant in the evening - the food was presented well and was delicious. Service was great and the lighting and background music...

At last minute I decided to book a hotel nearby Birmingham Airport before an early morning flight out the next day. The hotel is about 1/2 hour away and is set in a quiet beautiful location, so just right for a good night sleep. Upon arrival we were greeted by Alex who was wonderful, so professional and informative about the hotel and surrrounding area, a true ambassador for the hotel. We stayed to go to a wedding at the Manor over the road. (Really handy to be able to walk to that). Unfortunately we didn't get to use the pub except for breakfast in the morning which was really good, but the pub looked good. Rooms were clean and cosy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice sandwich shop/deli 2 doors down. Some early morning plane noise (under the flight path to Birmingham airport?), so if you are a light sleeper it might be worth bringing earplugs. Nice place...

Overnight stay with my colleagues - gorgeous, traditional little place. Evening meal was exceptional (Roast Chicken) and the breakfast options were excellent. We had a slight issue at breakfast where noticed one of the cafetières didn’t seem to have any coffee mixed with the hot water - a bit unlucky when travelling with Italians! But aside from that would definitely book again without hesitation.
