"Really nice, friendly staff and great food. Only stayed one night but would stay again."

"Staff great. Didn’t get told had to press a button to have room serviced therefore wasn’t done but when told was supplied with the necessary teas and coffees. Fish was also not quite cooked but this was also dealt with to our satisfaction but it was a shame as the fish was great. Good quality teas and coffees. Pillows not great for me but I am fussy."

"Fab one night stay in the love nest room . Our dog was made super welcome with a dog bed blanket and even a letter . Room was gorgeous pub and restaurant lovely staff really helpful and friendly "

"I had an excellent stay at The Horse Inn. The host was very welcoming, and the room was clean and tastefully furnished. My only criticism was that it could have been warmer, and there was no plug to the sink. The breakfasts were superb. "

"The location of the hotel is stunning, with great views from the top of Leith. Very, very quiet surroundings. The room was comfortable but with repairs needed to furniture and equipment. Food was good quality but be prepared for a wait. An interesting stay!"

"Welcoming pub, just stand between the beams if you're 6ft+ tall. Be aware breakfast only starts at 0830 which is too late for most working people but they made me a sandwich to take with me instead so that was appreciated."

"Excellent base for exploring the area. Staff were super helpful and polite. Had a REALLY creaky bed on the first night so didn’t get much sleep. Told staff the following morning and we were moved straight away. "

"Not the most amazing stay. Pebbles in the car park make it very difficult to carry luggage into properly. It was raining and getting from my car into the property dragging luggage was through the pebbles ground wasn’t pleasant. They did wait up for me til about 10:45pm to check me and were quite friendly on arrival. The host was helpful in taking my case up to my room on my arrival but not very helpful at all when I was leaving the next morning and didn’t bat an eyelid when I was struggling...

"I stayed at the Wheatsheaf Inn because I was working in the area. My room was comfortable, with a nice en-suite shower room. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. The rooms are to the side of the pub, which serves excellent breakfast and evening meals. Plenty of parking available. I'd definitely stay here again if working locally. Good value too. "

"The Bear is a wonderful property with beautiful views of East Sussex. The staff is kind and helpful and the pub atmosphere was wonderful, too! I highly recommend this property if you will be visiting this part of East Sussex!"

"Food and service excellent, restaurant rather tired as was furniture in bedroom, beds were good though. Bar was wellcoming and lounge, bar and restaurant were spacious. Enjoyed the two night visit."

"We came from Australia to be central to family for 6 nights. This amazing inn felt like home and the staff were so lovely and welcoming along with the food being amazing. Our room was very cosy and felt relaxing after long days out. I would stay here again as I have never felt so relaxed after a long flight from the Uk! Julie the landlady is so kind and caring looking after her guests! 100/10! Highly recommend!"

"If you hadn’t spoken to anyone prior to arriving, there’s no signage to tell you where the apartment is nor is there anything on the confirmation email. Luckily I had spoken to someone beforehand who turned out to be a very nice member of staff. Although four people were booked to stay here there were only 2 cups, no instant coffee so had to go to Costa machine in the Co-op in the morning at an extra expense. Although very clean, it’s not big enough for 4 adults n would maybe suit a couple or...
