We absolutely loved our first trip visiting Chiang Mai. The staff at Thannatee were lovely and honestly couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was not bad, but definitely not the best we have had in thailand. The rooms were cozy and had a feel of almost authentic Asia... But we did have a few cockroaches scurry by in our bathroom. My husband kept reminding me that we were in Thailand and these things are to be expected, but it was still a bit unsettlingly as I am not really used to having them around. Overall, it was a nice stay and extremely reasonable price.
We came to Chiangmai for a holiday and to get our teeth seen to. The need for crowns meant the stay was extended to 10 days. The hotel was comfortable, ideally situated for accessing the city. It was great value for money. The pool was so welcome after the heat of the day.The staff were excellent. For anyone on a budget, this is a perfect spot
The hotel was very nice, clean, big and confy room. The only thing was the AC, it turn off and on and wast as cooler as it should be, besides that it is a perfect hotel! We bookef prívate tour with them, the tour guide was the best and a really gentle man, we booked all tours with him for our whole stay. If you stay at this hotel make sure to visit the little coffe and tea spot one block from there; it was delicious and very cool.
A very nice hotel in a quiet part of town. Was about a 10 minute walk to the southern gate but there were plenty of food stops and other shops along the way. We also hired a bike which made things a little easier.
The room was lovely and the staff some of the friendliest I have ever met. Would defiantly stay again.
We arrived in Chiang Mai in the driving rain. I was able to find the guesthouse down a quiet street fairly easily, and our reservation thru Expedia was recognized without issues. There is a pool, rooms were average, but clean and fairly quiet. The location is good, within walking distance to Chiang Mai gate and the night food market there. Decent value, and good to have a room waiting for us on our first night there.
Although down a little back street this little hotel really is a jem! It's staff are helpful and the rooms are clean, large and with AC. It seems to be a reoccurring thing here in Thailand that the large showers always flood the bathroom so watch out for that! The location in the city it brilliant with the old town only being over the street and lots of street food! Perfect for travellers
