Had trouble finding it and accessing the gate, due to 4 emails being received with information and missed the info I needed, although the access codes had been provided. Once I arrived it was all good with dedicated parking and a lovely clean flat with everything I needed set in an Victorian estate.

I had a lovely stay at Aberley House, whilst taking in 2 days golf at Royal Birkdale for the British Open. The location was great and just a 10 minute walk to the train station and local amenities. Plenty of parking available and I found the property very clean and the host was very helpful. The games room was an extra bonus. Breakfast was very good and I would stay here again if in the area.

I can't recommend Hawkstone Hall highly enough. The location is just stunning, as is the house. Yet despite the grandeur of the place, I never felt anything but totally at ease.
The food was easily some of the best I've had, but if I had to choose one thing that really stood out about Hawkstone Hall it was the fact that every member of their staff was an absolute delight.
I can't recommend Hawkstone Hall highly enough. The location is just stunning, as is the house. Yet despite the grandeur of the place, I never felt anything but totally at ease.

Straightforward check in, Very nice room with functional layout. I liked the room because it was very quiet and the bed was comfortable.
The TV is slightly ‘too’ smart and seems to feel the need to switch itself on in the middle of the night. This could do with sorting out.

The host was friendly and helpful. We received our check in codes in advance so were able to check in without waiting around when we arrived. Staff were excellent, very efficient breakfast lady but, we couldn’t make her smile 😊. Our room was comfortable but the view was terrible, overlooking the back, the bathroom was the one of the best we have come across for the price, cleanliness was 5star, well done the chamber person. Breakfast again, served at your table with proper tea pot and milk jugs. We will certainly return and are planning our next trip soon. Thank you Prince Rupert well done 👏

Once inside though found the staff incredibly helpful and the rooms very comfortable for the price. The bathrooms and a self-service kitchen area are shared but kept very clean.
Transport to and from the city was within easy reach as there's bus stop is outside and Wavertree train station is nearby. They also have the most secure parking...
