What a lucky find. Situated in a beautiful area of the Welsh countryside. Stayed overnight weather was awful but the property was cosy and kept to a very high standard. Breakfast was freshly made & very tasty. A big thank you to the hosts Heather & Neil who made us feel welcome. Will definitely be returning. Julie & John.

Had trouble finding it and accessing the gate, due to 4 emails being received with information and missed the info I needed, although the access codes had been provided. Once I arrived it was all good with dedicated parking and a lovely clean flat with everything I needed set in an Victorian estate.

Great place to stay, nice rooms with friendly staff and good food

Lovely property, great decor. In a beautiful spot next to the River Dee. Great seeing various boats passing by. Loved sitting out on the patio. The inside of the house has everything you could possibly need. The owner, Chris, keeps in touch to make sure you are happy with everything. Lots of lovely walks nearby, miniature railway in the park at the end of the road. Short walk into Chester. We would definitely like to go back.

I shall be returning, beautiful location. Very good for the soul.

Lovely stay at Stone Villa. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, varied and plentiful. The rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean. The lovely hospitality tray which was topped up each day was very welcome after a long day sightseeing. Highly recommended.

Property and car park was very easy to find, had plenty of instructions on how to get to the property and gain entry well in advance Hotel itself is small and cosy room was well maintained and very clean, bed and bedding was clean and comfy and bathroom was well stocked We had a lovely stay here.

two nights great sleep great breakfast

What a fabulous stay. Downtown Chester with parking; the location is excellent - less than 5 minutes walk to the Cathedral. The hotel itself is spotless with a really modern yet classical style. Amenities are good (eg premium coffee and tea - and biccies) and the bed was super comfortable. The heated and lit mirror in the bathroom is indicative of the attention to detail that makes a stay even nicer. In terms of staff, Tracy was really friendly and helpful. We've visited Chester probably half a...

Have stayed here numerous times, Food is good & comfortable room.

Very nice large property, excellent bedrooms. Great view from garden overlooking the river. Everything is in the property you need except an ice cube maker, and garden needs a little tidy .

Excellent spacious room with fantastic showers. Great facilities, dining options and the best cooked breakfast!

Great first impressions upon arrival, interior decor makes it feel luxurious and staff were attentive; nothing was too much trouble. Lack of parking nearby is the only downside and was more because of how bad the weather was, but convenient for walking into the center in the evening.

Reception and cleaning staff very friendly. Excellent location and dog friendly. Nice and quiet.

My wife and I stayed for one night on 21/10/17. We received a very warm welcome from Martin and his team. The pub itself was great with a wide selection of drinks. The accommodation was quirky, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring Chester and the surrounding areas. The food and service were excellent. The free parking right opposite was a bonus too. We'd have no hesitation in recommending The Golden Eagle and would stay there again.

Lovely Hotel, great food and lovely rooms.

Excellent facilities.Enchanting village location.I will say no more because everyone will want to go.
