"Excellent location, lovely room"

"We booked here for Saturday 28th March, the tv didn’t work (called maintenance and this was fixed) and the coffee machine was missing. I received an email 3 days before our stay to inform us there were renovations ongoing and the bar would be closed. This was particularly frustrating as we had booked this hotel in November. There had been no communication before hand, so no opportunity to book a different hotel. "

"It’s a nice place but could do with some decent money being spent on some areas. We stayed in the White House which was lovely and you could feel the history. Room was spotless but the outside is a bit shabby. Bar area was nice but too small and quite pricey. Bar food finished at 5 and the restaurant menu was very small. The other restaurant was closed for a private function so we ended up having a takeaway. Weren’t given any information about amenities on site or about breakfast etc and there was no literature in the room. Staff were very friendly though. Grounds are nice but again need a bit of extra maintenance. This place could be spectacular"

"Room was ok, breakfast was nice, good location and parking. Nice quirky building. What ruined it was mattress was so old and and the springs dug in you every time you moved. "

"Staff all lovely and food very good - though the breakfast buffet leaves a lot to be desired the cooked breakfast made up for it. The hotel is tired and directly under the landing flight path at times !! "

"The staff was especially nice and very helpful. Our room was clean and set up with a roll away cot. The included breakfast was very good. It was an easy walk to Windsor Castle."
