"Chose this hotel for its proximity to attractions (excellent). My sibling and I are openly queer presenting, so we assume that was why the staff was very curt to us. Otherwise, the stay was lovely. Good food, lovely location. "

"Absolutely loved our room with a full river and Tower Bridge view. Just beautiful. The hotel was terrific and the adjoining restaurant had what we thought the best fish & cups with mushy peas. Would go back on a heartbeat!"

"The room was clean overall, but I experienced a few issues during my stay. There was a very loud water noise in the room, and the TV was not working on the first night. When I contacted reception, I was informed that no maintenance staff was available overnight and that I would need to wait until the next day. Eventually, around 11 PM, I requested and received a room change. Otherwise everything was perfect. Location was amazing with thames river view and 2 minutes walking to Bus stop."

"A very large hotel, just off Russell Square and only a few minutes walk from Russell Square tube station. The hotel was busy and seemed popular with international visitors. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities you need. The washbasin in the bathroom was a bit small and the tap quite high (good for filling water bottles), but if you're not careful you will splash water everywhere. Staff didn't mention breakfast at check-in. I don't think I booked it, but a reminder about breakfast could have been useful, although there are plenty of shops nearby. Some of the decor in communal areas and corridors is quite dated, but rooms themselves are in better condition."
