"Started out disappointed as rented the ENTIRE property. This is not the case - you have shared kitchen with CCTV. Finished disappointed as accused of having child and making a racket. They forgot to check when we left and CCTV cameras - we weren’t even there. As for room - when we arrived heating was not going - they promptly got to fix issue. Room was lovely but hair on bed and floor - not ours! Location is very central- so good "

"The cottage is spacious, especially the kitchen diner, and is well equipped. The family bathroom is really big but the en-suite shower room is minuscule. The B5057 that runs next to the cottage is a surprisingly busy road, though there is good double glazing throughout the house which cuts out most of the noice. The Three Stags pub in the village serves great food."

"What a beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. The owners were very quick to reply to any queries that we had and we so helpful...thank you so much. The cottage itself is beautiful, plenty of space but so cosy and with a real fire. The kitchen contains everything you could wish for. Both bedrooms are really comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and has a great shower. We will definitely be returning. "

"We had a really relaxing time at Robin Hood Tower. It is perfect for walks along the canal but also close to lots of wonderful Derbyshire countryside. Our host Steve was full of helpful information and pointers. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again - in fact we didn’t want to go home! "

"We enjoyed our short stay at the barn. The host Jackie was very friendly and kindly allowed us the use of a field to run the dogs, which we (and they) appreciated very much. There are also lovely walks from the property and Dovedale is only a short drive away. We would definitely return if we are ever up this way again. Thank you."

"Stayed here over the Christmas 2023 for 7 nights. As many reviewers have commented, the property is furnished to a high standard, with particularly comfortable beds. Some of the best we’ve had in a rental. The house is well located with views of Carsington Water and pub within walking distance. Lots to see and do within a short drive. "Superb place to stay if you’re going to Rock City. It’s literally next door. Great staff and a little shop of sorts selling snacks and juices to take to your room. A mean to cup coffee machine and pastry in the morning is a great touch. "
