Staff were wonderful as was the room and the food available in the restaurant. Only disadvantage was the lack of car parking but that still wouldn’t put us off returning.

We know the area well and we're staying at the Marine Hotel for a wedding. We had the superior room but sadly it rained so did not really use our balcony. The room was warm, clean and the staff all very friendly. Everyone was very helpful and made you feel very welcome. We will definetely book again. They also have 2 dog-friendly rooms which is great news for our 4-legged companion.

Very pleasantly surprised, the room actually had 3 bedrooms and the staff couldn’t do enough for you, would definitely stay again.

Great hotel for those thinking of staying in Canterbury. Only 15 minutes walk to the city centre. Room was quiet, staff were very good. Ate in on all three evenings, and had some really nice food, even a carvery on one evening. Breakfast choices were also excellent.

A fantastic stay and a brilliant evening had in the bar, they even had Elvis in the building! The food was great, the room very comfortable with a lovely bed and the welcome was very warm. Could not fault this place at all. Perfect for a overnight stay.

Great stay - convenient location just a short walk from the high st and attached to a fabulous restaurant. We stayed on the top floor - great room but a bit tricky for anyone who is less mobile or quite tall. Really great friendly service from the staff from start to finish.

The room and communal areas were spotless. The breakfast was a buffet style. Not great but not bad either.

Excellent comfortable accommodation welcoming efficient staff relaxing lounges including board games. Great bar with great selection. 20 min slow walk into Canterbury. Fabulous breakfast. Large family room 321 beds really comfy lots of space to chill out.

Can’t fault our stay. Warm welcome at check in, very quick and easy to find our accommodation. Suite was bright, thoughtfully decorated and very very clean. All the information we needed about the hotel and services was either communicated directly or left in the room for us to read. Complimentary hot drinks, warm room and comfortable bed. Staff were fantastic - very friendly and helpful. Everyone was very diligent with regard to Covid-10. We found Eva to be particularly helpful and friendly. Would very much recommend hotel, staff and locality.

Honestly, from the moment you arrive it’s luxurious. Felt so isolated from the outside world, which was perfect for our couple time!

The room 4 dates back centuries but has been well modernised. The air con unit was a real bonus. Small bathroom space but good shower. The hotel is well placed for access to the city (15 minutes walk) . Good value for money sadly breakfast was not offered but there is a van on site and many options in the city

It was the first visit to Canterbury for my friend and myself . The Cathedral Lodge was so lovely. The staff were super helpful, the hotel was spotless, the breakfast was excellent. It was quite novel to be let i and out of the main gate by police but at least you felt secure. We also went on a punt trip up the river Stour.
