In the mornings we offer a complimentary self-service “light English” buffet style breakfast including teas, coffees, fruit juices, yogurts, toast with jams, marmalade and honey plus a large selection of fresh fruit and berries.We understand in several European countries you may be offered pastries, cheeses, ham and tomatoes for breakfast but this isn’t what we’d offer as a traditional “English” guest house.We are glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay with us and hope to see you again in Weymouth.With thanks,The Driftwood team

Hi Carol,Thank you for your lovely review, sorry we weren’t around that morning. We are there most mornings but sadly not that day.We keep the milk and butter in the dining room fridge with all the fruit juice and yogurts to keep them all fresh, sorry if this obvious.We hope to see you on your next trip to Weymouth.With thanks,The Driftwood team

We have had many positive reviews from people who have enjoyed their experience here. We don’t have staff on site at all times but there is normally someone here or nearby. We have a key safe system at the front door so you can let yourself in. My number is on the back of the keys should you wish to contact me. All our rooms are listed as “Room only” but we offer a complimentary self-service lite breakfast. There was an eschew on that morning with some of the bread, when this came to my attention I emailed an apology. I hope that you will give us another chance in the future. Hi Martin, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. At the moment we are operating a “Self Service” check-in. This is the 1st year we have operated this system and it has been very popular with most of our guests. We email all guests the day before with the instructions. At the moment we are listing all our rooms as "Room only" and no meal plan is included. We are offering a "complimentary lite self-service breakfast" but this is a free add on. We hope to be able to offer the full traditional breakfast from spring 2022 but can't at the moment. You were charged full price as the booking you had made was for room only.
