We had been out drinking and was a late night the morning after I asked if we could extend our check out time the request was accepted at no extra cost. "We have stayed here many times before and since last stay downstairs has been revamped,only thing is looks like small single rooms have been turned into doubles,not enough room to swing a cat,washing in sink had to be done with bathroom door open,we never used shower as it was all too small and hard to manouevre round in,door had number lock on but lights never came on so that was frustrating,this was room 7,sorry but we wont be staying again."

"The blinds in the first room i had were awkward to operate and didn't shut out the light efficiently. Cleanliness and comfort were spot on. The themed bar restaurant downstairs is very good."

"Car parking was super secure.its in the yard of the hotel behind a shutter..Credit to the owners who are trying their best to rescue the hotel.its right in the center of town right next to a wetherspoons..if Ur expecting the Savoy don't go but it's clean and the room was of a good size and comfortable.the lady on reception was supa helpful and cheery..😃..overall I it did the job and I've stopped at alot worse.Shaun"

"Nightmare!! When I booked this place I was given an option to pay when I get to the hotel, but this isn’t the case. Plus the post code on here isn’t to the location of the hotel either grrrrrr!!! Plus on the Sunday there was any hot water. I must say Jan was great. I won’t be returning again. "

"Stuart was very communicative, answering usually within minutes. Facilities are great, very comfortable place with good choices of rooms. We didn't get to use the hot tub as much as we'd have liked, as on arrival, we had a meal out booked soon, so the first night was out. The first day weather was terrible, none stop rain till the evening, so it wasn't comfortable to be outside much, then the second day we were out most of the day."

"A lovely stay in a cute old stable. Lovely provision of cereal, bread, butter, milk and coffee (including some for the cafetière for those like me who don’t drink instant). The fridge has a small freezer at the top which is great. The living room is double height and very comfy with underfloor heating, the bedroom is upstairs on the mezzanine. The owners have really thought about the things you need when staying away in self-catered accommodation and it shows! 10/10"
