"The hotel was very convenient to stay at the night before my morning international flight. The check in staff were very helpful, the room was perfectly functional and spotless. I would absolutely stay here again. While I didn’t get the opportunity to try out any of the amenities, the hotel overall had warm, welcoming vibes - the lounge/bar area looked like a great spot to sit and enjoy a drink."

"This was a great hotel and walkable from the Waverly Train Station. The room was nice and beds were comfortable. But the best part was the hotel restaurant! We ate breakfast there every morning and even had supper at this restaurant TWICE! Who eats at the same place twice when in Edinburgh?? But the food was so delicious. Try their fried calamari! Plus while sitting at the restaurant you get a view of The Edinburgh Castle in one direction and the Scott Monument in the other. We really loved this hotel."

"It looks like Hilton is working to improve the property, which is good. A couple things to note: - lobby / entrance is beautiful, smells great. - fabulous drinks at the bar (Bravo, Ellie!). - Staff were lovely- truly great people, great customer service. - room cleaning staff were really great too! Very nice and helpful. - room was… ok. Step-in tub was uncomfortable (better placed grab bars please!), but the warming towel rack was nice. - small touches were missing in the room (no pen and paper in the suite from what we could tell) - breakfast as good! A few more fresh options would be nice (to balance out the decadent sausages, haggis, bacon, hash browns, etc) but overall really good. Main criticism- the spa needs a lot of TLC. Locker rooms weren’t well appointed (extra towels would be good). The steam room - a big draw after long flights and train rides - was actually a little gross. Someone had a bloody nose (or something) and it was smeared a little on the wall. Phlegm on floor (or so it seemed). This is really unacceptable, so hope they can address asap. They want to expand spa offerings, and I think there is potential (nice products!), but these details will matter if the goal is to compete with Four Seasons and Ritz for spa offerings!"

"Most comfortable hostel I've stayed in so far. The pod-like bed felt more private than other hostels I've stayed at. The showers were also more spacious, I could hang my purse etc. in the shower stall with me without it getting wet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is incredible on the Royal Mile. Would stay again if I return to Edinburgh."
