Macdonald Botley Park Hotel & Spa

"We were staying prior to embarking on a cruise. Helpful staff on check in, no lift and room on the 3rd floor. Staff helped with taking our suitcases up and down the stairs. Room quiet and spacious. Toilet flush only worked infrequently, room needed a freshen up chunks missing out of the wall and dodgy paint work. Only 1 pillow each"
Harbour Hotel Southampton

"We have stayed at the Harbour hotel on a number of occasions, as well as many other hotels in the area. The hotel is in a great location, has a pool and spa, and in our opinion is the best hotel in Southampton. That said, the room we were allocated appeared to be an apartment rather than a hotel room. It had a full-sized kitchen, but most appliances had been disabled, but the room had little cupboard space for hanging clothes. As we were staying for 4 days, this was impractical. The room also didn't have a phone, so we had to use our mobile to phone reception."

"Staff were nice and attentive. Breakfast was mediocre but still good. Didn’t accept cash at the restaurant which was too bad for a traveller. Rooms were a little small and in need of an update but for a cheaper hotel, was a great stay. Nice and close walking distance to lots of attractions in Southampton."

"A lovely hotel with amazing staff who tend to your every need. Spa is lovely and treatments are out of this world. Food and service is 5star. This hotel is the perfect location as it’s walking distance from Winchester city centre. Perfect for a few days away to relax"

"Very accomodating. Was very close to the cruise port, just a short walk.Excellent breakfast. We took the national express coach from Healthrow airport and it was also short walk from the the Southampton Coach Station Harbour Parade."

"The good, friendly, clean, great location, nice room, 2pm checkout. Overall a great place to stay. Minor issues - Keycard couldn't be issued initially. Had keys by later in evening. Smaller bed then requested."

"Good basic hotel near all the action and very close to one of the train stations (Harbour Port). Noisy during the day because hotel is beside a public square with crowds and live and recorded music. This didn't bother us. Entrance is in a strange place which was hard to find as we walked from the train station. Great shopping next door, lots of restaurants and tourist activities. No gym."
