"Property is amazing, the rooms and bed are plush and comfortable, its the first place ill check for availability if i am in the Portsmouth area, i highly highly recommend it. Third time staying here - firstly the two hosts are always welcoming but more importantly go out of their way to make sure you are both accommodated AND informed about everything you may need. We had an issue due to a booking mistake and they helped arrange something which they were not actually obligated to (i booked the wrong dates). Plenty of room in a seperate shared kitchen space if needed, games room and also a spa type area (i havent used it)."

"The room was decent, the bar was good and so was the breakfast … however the latte machine was broken. We dined there one evening and my husband commented that the duck was very good. The wifi was good. Good location to the train station, pubs and the Navy Museum, HMS Victory and HMS Warrior."

"Another great stay. Breakfast was good. Room big and I liked that it was cleaned daily. Bar and food is expensive but it was good. Also a petrol station on the door step which is a lot cheaper."

The Lady Hamilton B&B

"While born and bred in Pompey for 19 years, I returned to my hometown as a tourist to show a friend around. Therefore, I knew of the Lady Hamilton's excellent location and I was pleasantly surprised that the "partial sea view" from the window was an excellent full view of HMS Warrior-stunning at sunrise. No noise disturbance from the pub or street and stairway means not having to go through pub; didn't drink in pub, as they had run out of London Pride real ale, but a proper local pub if you want the authentic Portsea. The Lady Hamilton is a stones throw from the dockyard (maritime museum) and the range of restuarants at Gunwharf; recommend Giggly Squid and Tap and Tandoori - has lovely vegan options .Also, a delighful 15 minute walk to Old Portsmouth-Spinaker cafe good place for breakfast and opens early. I would definitely stay here again and recommend; very comfortable bed, clean, great shower, location and view! Only thing that would have been a good thing to have in the room is a peg in bathroom for towels, though did have radiator to hang on. Although HMS Victory covered over for renovation, still a fascinating visit and The Mary Rose musuem is out of this world and a must see."
