"The hotel is in a good location and has been refurbished recently, the car park has plenty of spaces and we were happy to have our classic car in it, you just need to register the car when you check in. We had a room with a sea view nice and clean, the only thing that wasn't ideal was the shower was an extension from the bath taps and there was insufficient height. Lovely Terrace to enjoy drinks overlooking a garden area. We will use again when next in the area."

"I wasn't expecting the stay to be as good as it was. The room was compact but comfortable. The shower was instantly hot so no need to waste water waiting for it to get hot. Lovely scented body wash and shampoo. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were luxurious. The TV was a good size, not tiny. The Spanish lady at the bar was really kind and very helpful. In fact all the staff were really polite and welcoming. Food was great. Breakfast buffet was really good with full English and continental breakfast on offer. I have stayed in lots of hotels and was pleasantly surprised by this one."

"The property was in an excellent location for our visit to the Historical Dockyard as well as places to eat, the bus and train station. The property was clean, quiet and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold food."

"While born and bred in Pompey for 19 years, I returned to my hometown as a tourist to show a friend around. Therefore, I knew of the Lady Hamilton's excellent location and I was pleasantly surprised that the "partial sea view" from the window was an excellent full view of HMS Warrior-stunning at sunrise. No noise disturbance from the pub or street and stairway means not having to go through pub; didn't drink in pub, as they had run out of London Pride real ale, but a proper local pub if you want the authentic Portsea. The Lady Hamilton is a stones throw from the dockyard (maritime museum) and the range of restuarants at Gunwharf; recommend Giggly Squid and Tap and Tandoori - has lovely vegan options .Also, a delighful 15 minute walk to Old Portsmouth-Spinaker cafe good place for breakfast and opens early. I would definitely stay here again and recommend; very comfortable bed, clean, great shower, location and view! Only thing that would have been a good thing to have in the room is a peg in bathroom for towels, though did have radiator to hang on. Although HMS Victory covered over for renovation, still a fascinating visit and The Mary Rose musuem is out of this world and a must see."
