"Spotless, grand Victorian home. Just about the most welcoming and helpful host/manager you could hope to meet - there were plenty of suggestions for activities in the area and how to get around. Right on the edge of town, which itself wasn't huge. All sorts of small amenities were on offer."

The host also provides each guest a Business Parking Permit for free marking in a nearby council car park, which can also be used in other council car parks of the same council including one in Grasmere."

"The hotel is in a very good location with local shops and restaurants very nearby. Its near the waterfalls and lake. Staff very nice. One minor things no cooked breakfast on offer but I could do with losing a few pounds."

Lorraine is such a wonderful host, always helping with any information we need and goes out of her way to help me with storing my luggage before checkin and after checkout.The location is fantastic, just next to the Town centre and bus stops. The street is well-lit and safe to roam even when dark. The room is super cosy and the bedding is clean and so comfortable that my kids would love sleep-in instead of going out and about. "What a great find. The perfect stop off on our way to the Highlands. The room (room 5) was incredibly spacious and clean. The service was friendly and genuine and the food was well cooked and great value. The breakfast in particular was clearly cooked to order and piping hot. Definitely recommend this place. "
